This is very small tutorial but very useful. Google drive provides 15 GB free space which can be very handy to host files if you are running out of space with your hosting plan. Media files are always space-hungry.

We will learn to create custom link to host image files from google drive. As we know direct sharing link from google does not work to host files, So we will modify this link to get it work.

1: Create sharing link – Right click on folder containing files to be shared and change sharing property to  “Anyone with the link can view”. Done.

2: Repeat above with file to be shared – Repeat same process to obtain sharing link and copy it on notepad or any text editor. It must appear as below.

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1z4wABIx4TsrAp8kdcSH53lGG7738wzFR/view?usp=sharing

or—

https://drive.google.com/open?id=1z4wABIx4TsrAp8kdcSH53lGG7738wzFR

3: We will replace file ID as appearing in next image and will change with custom URL.

4: Copy URL given below to notepad and paste file id without space just after it.

http://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=

It will look like the URL below—-

http://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1z4wABIx4TsrAp8kdcSH53lGG7738wzFR

Copy link and use anywhere on blogger or other websites.
