This tutorial will guide you to flash custom ROM to any Mediatek android phone. Please read disclaimer before using this guide.

Prerequisite: 

This guide requires a windows PC to run SP Flash Tool. You can download it for Linux operating systems also.

Please download SP Flsh Tools here to flash your device.

Download and install CDC driver for your device.

Install Android VCOM Driver if CDC driver is not working.

You need a working ROM for your phone. We assume you have a valid ROM with .scatter text file.

SP Flash Tools comes in zip file. Unzip it and run Flash_Tool.exe. Do not change .bin file unless you need to change it. You can change it if .bin file is available with the ROM you have.

Now select .scatter file from ROM you have already on the computer. It will create download list in flash tool as shown below.

Click on download button.

Remove battery from phone and connect with USB to the computer

Please Note:

In some Cellphone, you need to reinstall battery after connecting the device to the computer. It will start downloading ROM to your phone immediately if it is connected properly. Don’t disconnect your phone until process completes.

After successful installation it will appear as below.

Reboot your phone. It will take some time while booting firs time. be patient, it will be worth waiting.

Note:

In case process halts half way, make sure to format the device. You can check emmc for errors. If emmc check is showing errors, I’m afraid you won’t be able to flash your phone.
